The child in the buggy in the picture below was born in May 1894, so that is consistent with the studio being active in the time period listed above. There is no mention of Cottrell & Urie in the 1896 or 1897 Appleton City Directories. By 1899, Cottrell was working as a laborer and continued his career as a foreman in a paper mill.
